Have attempted my first boost leak test since I put the motor in and I cannot get any pressure to build with 5-20 psi from the compressor. I've tightened all the clamps and can hear air building in the inlet pipes but cant hear any major leaks. Motor builds boost but only 12 psi ish max. Am I doing something wrong? I cannot hear air rushing with the oil cap and dipsticks out.
Second problem is an oil leak from the rear pan by the tranny. Thought it might be the rear main but I snugged up the rear pan bolts in a desperation attempt to fix it knowing it would probably make the leak worse and it did. Z1 says on their site that the rear main seal kit can be installed with just the tranny out [ http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=1898. ] I cannot see it being possible to seal up the rear pan without taking the whole pan out and resealing the entire thing. Am I looking at another pull already or has anyone successfully done this?
